Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, Santana To Donate Gear For MusiCares Auction

As previously reported, Aerosmith is set to be honored as the 2020 MusiCares Person of the Year on January 24th (two days prior to the Grammys) at a special 30th anniversary benefit gala. That same day, an auction will take place through Julien’s Auctions to raise money for the Recording Industry's non-profit charity. Among the items donated by Aerosmith include Steven Tyler’s autographed Shure SM58 microphone and white stand, complete with an array of scarves (estimated $5,000 to $10,000), Joe Perry's autographed Les Paul Signature guitar ($5,000 to $7,000), and Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer have also put up autographed instruments (all estimated between $2,000 and $4,000). The band will also auction off a special VIP package to their Las Vegas show Deuces Are Wild that includes first class airline tickets, hotel accommodations, a meet-and-greet with Perry and Tyler and more ($10,000 to $20,000).

The auction will also include guitars signed by Dave Grohl, Pete Townshend, and Carlos Santana, while Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder placed his signature and a few drawings on a ukulele (all $5,000 to $7,000). Fleetwood Mac is also offering up a signed photo from their MusiCares Person of the Year event last year ($2,500 to $3,000), and Linda Ronstadt has donated a framed and signed copy of her album Heart Like a Wheel ($1,000 to $2,000).
