We're coming up on the anniversary of Brian Jones' death. It was on July 3, 1969, at the age of 27, just weeks after being kicked out of the Rolling Stones, Jones was found dead in his swimming pool. The coroner famously ruled "death by misadventure." Well, a new documentary makes the argument that Jones was, if not murdered, then killed in an incident of manslaughter. According to the film, Jones’ killer was a man named Frank Thorogood, who had been renovating the guitarist’s home, and according to one account, confessed to killing Brian Jones on his deathbed.
