Frank Zappa’s epic 1981 Halloween concerts are being immortalized in an upcoming box set. For the first ever, his shows at New York City’s Palladium on the nights of October 31st and November 1st will be put out as the six-CD “Halloween 81” collection due for release on October 2nd.
Zappa and his new band wrapped up a five-show, four-night Halloween run at The Palladium with early and late performances on Halloween and November 1st. All three of the closing concerts are included in the set, boasting more than 70 unreleased tracks and a Count Frankula mask and cape… and more goodies.
