Alice in Chains will be honored by an array of big name artists when theyreceive the Founders Award from the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle on December 1st.
In addition to the band themselves performing, they'll have their songs covered by Metallica,Billy Corgan, Korn, Duff McKagan, Krist Novoselic, Corey Taylor, Taylor Hawkins, Ann Wilson and, separately, Nancy Wilson of Heart,Dave Navarro and Chris Cheyney of Jane's Addiction, Mastodon, Lily Cornell Silver, members of Soundgarden with Mike McCready and Tad Doyle, Dallas Green of City and Colour, Fishbone, ex-Queensryche guitarist Chris DeGarmo and more.
Eddie Vedder and Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam, Les Claypool, Robert Downey Junior, Sammy Hagar, Tom Morello and Vernon Reid of Living Colour are set to make guest appearances, as well.
Perhaps the biggest news is that the whole event will be livestreamed for free at 9 p.m. ET that evening on Facebook, Twitch and the Amazon Music app.
