The 'dancing dad' who has been dancing outside of his son's hospital window every day of his cancer treatments is getting recognition from some well-known celebrities.
Will Smith and Jason Derulo surprised Aiden Yielding and his dad, Chuck with a virtual visit that was posted on Snapchat.
Aiden, 14, has been going through chemotherapy for leukemia since the beginning of this year, reports CBS DFW.
Only one parent is allowed in the room with him due to the restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic. Since his mom already works in the hospital, she stayed with him.
Since his dad couldn't come inside, he dressed up in crazy costumes and danced outside Aiden's window, showing his unending support.
The act has gained him a lot of recognition worldwide.
Chuck said, "I think it had been on like 300 news channels, 19 countries and has reached over a billion people. We’ve got messages from Germany, Croatia, Italy and Japan, and it’s just been unbelievable the outpouring of support."
Will Smith sent Aiden a brand new PlayStation 5 for Christmas, in partnership with GameStop.
In addition, both GameStop and Will Smith donated $5,000 each to Cook Children's Medical Center.
