A Massive Socially Distant Cover of the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations"

A just-released cover of The Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations" has received the ultimate praise -- from the song's creator.

The virtual performance is by nearly 30 musicians billed as The Social Distance Sessions -- and Brian Wilson calls it "amazing." Along with Tweeting the link to the video, Wilson adds, "Their goal for this performance is to make everyone SMiLE... Hope you enjoy it!”

The musicians appeared on screen from their homes with Minhee Jones and Jesse Hernandez taking lead vocals. Others contribute the wide range of instruments that made the 1966 original so distinctive -- from theremin to sleigh bells to violin.

The Social Distance Sessions previously posted covers o fBruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run” and Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin'.”
