"Johnny Football" Manziel Rushes for his First Touch in the new FCF league.

Johnny Manziel had as many impressive plays as he did completions on Saturday night in his debut in the Fan Controlled Football (FCF) league.

“Johnny Football”—remember that name—completed only 1-of-5 passes for 11 yards Saturday night as the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL quarterback, scrambled for 38 yards on this, his first play from scrimmage.

“Feels like I’m super washed up, but still had a blast,’’ he said. “That was the most fun I’ve had in a while.’’

Looking winded for much of the game, the 28-year-old Manziel got sacked twice. But he still looked nimble on his feet, rushing for 67 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.

But, after his team, the Zappers, lost to the Beasts, 48-44 his take was simply “win or lose, we booze.

Seems like Johnny is really back on track—the fact track to a relapse.

The four-team league will play all of its games at the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth, Georgia.
