At 52 years old, Tony Hawk is throwing in the towel on some of his famous skateboard tricks. The legendary skater has been performing some of his iconic tricks for the last time on social media.
Hawk retired from competitive skating in 2003, and although he still skates, he says some of his tricks are getting too difficult to land as he ages. In the latest clip, Hawk gets emotional as he lands an ollie 540 for the last time after first attempting the trick “as a joke” more than three decades ago in 1989.
"It was the first of many that I've made over the last 32 years, but they've gotten scarier in recent years,” he writes. "Today I decided to do it one more time … and never again.” Check out the clips below.
