Grateful Dead; Live at the Fillmore West 1971, recording "Skull and Roses"

The Grateful Dead's self-titled 1971 live album, also known as Skull & Roses, is being re-released in celebration of its anniversary.

Recorded in New York and San Francisco during March and April of 1971, it has been remastered and expanded to include more than an hour's worth of unreleased music.

The 10 additional tracks were recorded on July 2nd, 1971 at the Fillmore West, which was the band’s final performance at the historic San Francisco venue. In making the announcement, the band is previewing the collection with a previously unreleased performance of “The Other One” from the July 2nd show. It's available now on streaming services.

Grateful Dead will be released on June 25th in numerous configurations, including 180-gram vinyl
