Zeppelin's John Bonham and the Complete Moby Dick Performance...

A new Led Zeppelin biography is on the way.

Led Zeppelin: The Biographywas written by Bob Spitz, who wroteThe Beatles: The Biography, as well as books on Bob Dylan, Ronald Reagan, chef Julia Child, and the Woodstock festival.

The description of the 688-page book on the Penguin Random House website reads in part as follows:

"In Led Zeppelin, Bob Spitz takes their full measure, for good and sometimes for ill, separating the myth from the reality with the connoisseurship and storytelling flair that are his trademarks... Led Zeppelin gave no quarter, and neither has Bob Spitz. Led Zeppelin is the full and honest reckoning the band has long awaited, and richly deserves."

It will be published on November 9th.

A remastered version of The Yardbirds' song “Happenings Ten Years Time Ago,” featuring Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, is being released on a seven-inch single as part of a new box set,Yardbirds (Roger the Engineer), on June 18th.

Page and Jones both played on the 1966 while working as session musicians before forming Led Zeppelin in 1968.

The B-side of the vinyl single is the remastered original B-side “Psycho Daisies,” which Page also played on.

Both tracks are also included on a CD of session recordings in the new box set, along with two versions of Yardbirds singer Keith Relf's solo single, “Shapes in My Mind,” which Page also played on, and The Yardbirds, with Page as a member, doing "Train Kept A-Rollin'” recorded for the film Blowup.

In other Zeppelin news, the gong drummer John Bonham during the band's January 9th, 1970 show at London's Royal Albert Hall, is up for auction at Bonhams(no relation). It's expected to sell for between $28- and $40,000 when the hammer comes down on May 5th.
