SpaceX is celebrating a successful landing of its Starship spacecraft. It's the first time the next generation rocket has successfully landed in a test launch. While a small fire broke out at the base of the rocket right after landing, it was quickly put out.
As you might recall, the last time the Starship nearly landed, it exploded a few minutes after touching down. SpaceX founder ElonMusk commented on the milestone, tweeting "Starship landing nominal!"
Of course, Musk isn’t alone in the battle of the billionaires. Blue Origin – which is owned by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos says they’re ready to take tourists ‘up there’ as soon as July. While the astronauts are likely to include company personnel, one seat is being auctioned online.
