“1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything.”

George Harrison, Marvin Gaye, The Who and more music icons appear in Apple TV-Plus’ upcoming documentary “1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything.” We’re getting a look at the eight-part doc with the official trailer.

The trailer kicks off with Marvin’s “What’s Going On.” There’s also footage of several artists who have albums turning 50 this year, like Joni Mitchell, Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stone, John Lennon, Bill Withers, Elton John, Graham Nash, Bob Marley, Alice Cooper and more.

In the doc, the artists reflect on how their music still resonates today, giving fans a look at reel-to-reel tapes, concert footage and studio sessions. “1971” premieres on Apple TV-Plus on May 21st.Check out the trailer to the right.
