Phil Mickelson is taking home the PGA Championship at the Kiawah Island Ocean Course in South Carolina. The man with the nickname 'Lefty,' has become the oldest golfer to win a Major on the P-G-A Tour, winning at 50 years old. It's his sixth-career Major.
Mickelson had an up-and-down day, shooting a one-over 73, but finished at six-under for the four-day tournament. Louis Oosthuizen and Brooks Koepka finished two shots back at four-under.
The PGA Championship's purse was also a record this year – at $12-million. It’s second to only the U.S. Open among majors – and of that, Mickelson taking home the champion's prize of $2.16-million.
