A track that features George Harrison and Ringo Starr was recently found in attic in Birmingham, England.
The song,"Radhe Shaam," was recorded in 1968 at Trident Studios in London around the time The Beatles were working on "Hey Jude." Broadcaster and journalist Suresh Joshi was at Trident working on the soundtrack to a documentary, and Harrison and Starr offered to play on the song. Harrison knew Joshi, who wrote the song, because he'd help set up Harrison's first meeting with Indian musician Ravi Shankar.
The master tape was found in Joshi's attic after a neighbor checked in on him during one of the country's pandemic lockdowns and they started talking about The Beatles. The track had its debut this week at Liverpool's Beatles Museum. Joshi tells the Liverpool Echo that because "The Beatles were breaking up and had various problems...no one wanted to [release it]" at the time.
