Happy Birthday! Timothy B. Schmit

Born on this day in 1947, Timothy Bruce Schmit is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as the bassist and vocalist for Poco and in 1977 he replaced Randy Meisner in the Eagles. Schmit also worked for decades as a session musician and solo artist. He's famous for taking lead vocals on the Eagles track "I Can't Tell You Why" (above). In 1998, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Eagles.
