Released on this day in 1974, Rush is the debut studio album by RUSH. Featuring songs like "Finding My Way", "In The Mood" and "Working Man" this pre-Neil Peart lineup served straight forward rock and roll comparable to Led Zeppelin and Cream. Original drummer John Rutsey was unable to go on extended tours because of complications with diabetes and would retire from the band after the album was released. Rutsey would be replaced by Peart, who would become the band's primary lyricist and take them in a more prog-rock direction.
