Remembering Christine McVie On Her 80th Birthday

Born on this day in 1943, Christine Anne Perfect, known professionally as Christine McVie after her marriage to John McVie, would have turned 80 today.  Sadly, we lost Christine on November 30, 2022, after she suffered a stroke due to metastatic cancer. The British singer-songwriter, best known as the keyboardist and co-lead vocalist of Fleetwood Mac, (which she joined in 1970 while married to bassist McVie), was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 as a member of Fleetwood Mac and that same year she received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. In 1998, after almost 30 years with the band, she opted to leave Fleetwood Mac and lived in semi-retirement for the next few years, releasing only one solo album in 2004. McVie appeared on stage with Fleetwood Mac at London's O2 Arena in September 2013 and decided to rejoin the band officially in January 2014.

In her memory, check out a few Fleetwood Mac videos featuring Christine on lead vocals.
