In 2018, Geddy Lee published Geddy Lee's Big Beautiful Book of Bass, a look at his collection of over 250 basses along with interviews with some of the leading bass players and bass technicians.
Now, five years later, he will premiere Geddy Lee Asks: Are Bass Players Human Too?, a four-part series featuring him in conversation with four fellow bassists -- Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic, Metallica’s Rob Trujillo, Hole and Smashing Pumpkins' Melissa Auf der Maur, and Les Claypool from Primus.
In the show's trailer Geddy says, “I’m trying to show the world that a bass player can do many things. Join me as I travel to the homes of four bass legends and dive deep into their lives. And their inspirations. Plus some fun making music, as I try to answer one really important question: Are bass players human too?”
It premieres December 5th on Paramount+.
Geddy will publish his memoir, My Effin' Life, on November 14th.
His tour in support of it, My Effin' Life in Conversation, starts the night before, November 13th in New York at the Beacon Theatre.
