David Lee Roth is on a roll.
Last week he took a shot at Sammy Hagar, saying he was "sex probed" by an alien.
He also said Alex Van Halen bullied his brother Eddie, and now he's taking a shot at Eddie's son, his former Van Halen bandmate Wolfgang Van Halen.
In the latest episode of The Roth Show on YouTube he repeatedly calls Wolfgang “this [BLEEPIN'] kid,” as well as a “schlemiel” (“fool” in Yiddish).
He also says Wolfie has benefited from nepotism, and in a mock interview in the podcast, he makes Wolfie out to be Jesus Christ. The faux-Wolfgang says, “Bro, I want people to know I got this job because of my talent. I would have this job anyway, even if my dad wasn’t God. I just want people to know I got this job because of my talent.”
Roth goes on to say that Wolfgang was upset with him for not recognizing him on stage and took revenge by having a woman, who he believed was Roth's girlfriend, removed from standing on the side of the stage. It turns out she was the tour accountant.
Wolfgang has never openly ripped into Roth, but he did say in 2022 that he was the one who made it "very difficult" to stage an Eddie Van Halen tribute concert.
Representatives for Wolfgang and Roth have not commented on this story.
Wolfgang's band, Mammoth WVH, will perform on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live last night.
Tomorrow, January 26th, would’ve been Eddie's 69th birthday.
