Released on this day in 1981, Moving Pictures is the eighth studio album by Rush. Featuring the singles "Limelight", "Tom Sawyer", and "Vital Signs" as well as deeper album cuts like "Red Barchetta" and "YYZ", the album was an instant success, reaching #1 in the band's home country of Canada and #3 in the US and the UK. It remains Rush's highest-selling album in the United States, selling more than 5 million copies.
