Bruce Springsteen Honoring John Mellencamp and More

The Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music on the campus of Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey has announced the honorees for its second annual American Music Honors event.

This year’s honorees are four iconic artists, three of whom Springsteen is friends with or collaborated with. They are John MellencampJackson BrowneMavis Staples and Dion DiMucci.

Robert Santelli, the Founding Executive Director of the Springsteen Archives, says all four artists have “contributed mightily to the American music canon and have demonstrated how the power of song can act as an agent for positive change in our country.”

Last year’s inaugural honorees were Steve Van ZandtSam MooreDarlene Love and Steve Earle.

The event will be held on the Monmouth University campus on Wednesday, April 24th.

No Texas dates have been announced yet.
