Released on this day in 1979, Evolution is the fifth studio album by Journey. Produced by Roy Thomas Baker (best known for his work with Queen) it was the band's most successful album at that time, selling three million copies in the US and charting at #20 on the Billboard 200. Evolution features their first top 20 hit, "Lovin, Touchin, Squeezin", which reached #16 in the US as well as "Just the Same Way" featuring original lead vocalist Gregg Rolie along with Steve Perry.
