We told you weeks ago that a country music tribute to the music of Tom Petty was on the way - and shared the first released track, Dierks Bentley's version of "American Girl." Now we know more details on the project - and we have a second track from the album.
"Petty Country: A Country Music Celebration Of The Music Of Tom Petty" is a collection of twenty Petty tracks covered by some of the biggest names in country music. Along with the track listing, the second song from the collection, Dolly Parton's version of "Southern Accents" was released Friday. Dolly says, "I was fortunate enough to get to know Tom over the years. He’s such an iconic artist and important songwriter. I’m so honored to be a part of this special album and to be able to share my version of one of Tom’s best songs, ‘Southern Accents’."
