Released on this day in 1989, Sonic Temple is the fourth studio album by The Cult. Produced by Bob Rock, the album continued the band's more straight forward hard-rock progression and featured some of their most popular songs, including "Fire Woman", "Sun King", "Edie (Ciao Baby)" and "Sweet Soul Sister," resulting in their highest chart position at No.10 and eventually being certified platinum in 1993.
