Released on this day in 1973, Aladdin Sane is the sixth studio album by David Bowie. It was the follow-up to his breakthrough The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. The album debuted at the top of the UK charts, and reached #17 in America on the strength of songs like "Panic In Detroit", "The Jean Genie", and "Drive-In Saturday."
