The Rolling Stones Post Highlight Reel from Sunday's Houston Show

The Stones have posted a two-minute highlight reel from Sunday’s opening night. Check it out below.

It features the opening song, “Start Me Up” along with "Angry,” the first single off Hackney Diamonds.

Speaking of The Stones.....

Ronnie Wood confirmed what we've already reported -- that The Rolling Stones don't take touring lightly.

Prior to opening night Sunday in Houston, he spoke to The Sun about his and the band's preparation for their Tour '24.

"We really had our noses to the grindstone in L.A. and we rehearsed for five weeks.

“We have been getting back into the mode of playing stadiums...

“The funny thing is, we are always trying to get better. We are always trying to brush up.

“It is all from the heart, that is where we get everything.

“But we like to mix up the old and the new, that is what we love to do.”

As for himself, he remains clean and sober, saying, “The adrenaline high is stronger than any drug or alcohol.

“The natural high is the best one you can have, it exceeds drugs or alcohol.

“I like to have my green juices now and I do workouts with my trainer just light workouts and stretches to keep my circulation going, which is what you need when you’re older.

“It’s always a big party on the road but I like to have my quiet time. I’m addicted to Ripley [on Netflix].”

And, back to rehearsals, he says they were joined by Paul McCartney at a few.

“Paul is so great and really supportive... [he] gave us some really nice input."

McCartney plays bass on "Bite My Head Off" on the Stones' latest album, Hackney Diamonds, so perhaps he will reprise his role at one of the shows.

And, Paul also hosted a going away party from L.A. for Ronnie and his wife Sally.

“He invited Neil Young as my surprise guest at the dinner.

“It was so lovely.

“He is an old buddy of mine and I haven’t seen him in years.

“We’re going to get together again in Louisiana and go to the New Orleans Jazz Festival.”

Both the Stones and Young are playing Jazz Fest -- The Stones on Thursday and Young with Crazy Horse on Saturday.
