Cops Boot Man At Mets Game For Over-Doing Dollar Dog Night
If you’re yearning to catch a professional baseball game, there are few draws better than “Dollar Dog Night.” On Tuesday night, the New York Mets hosted one of their own as the team did battle with the Chicago Cubs. During that game, 44,269 hot dogs were sold, and one man became the star of the show…and eventually got booted from the game because of it. The unnamed man, said to be a welder from Westchester, not only embraced the majesty of “Dollar Dog Night,” but set out to join the 9-9-9 club…nine hot dogs, nine beers, in nine innings. He became such a sensation, in fact, that fans around him were cheering him on and even throwing dogs at him while chanting “one more dog” and “let him eat.” With “hundreds of fans” throwing hot dogs his way, security eventually had to show the local hero the exit to the stadium while fans booed the decision…but the legend will live forever.
