Ozzy Osbourne has played with some great guitar players, and while there's no denying his love and admiration for the late Randy Rhoads from his first solo band, he says no one is better than Tony Iommi.
In a promo for his new online series, The Madhouse Chronicles, he says, "Tony Iommi was, and is, the best guitar player I’ve ever played with.
"It’s like The Beatles -- they wouldn’t have been the same if any one of them had played [in another band], or The Rolling Stones if Mick Jagger left.
“I’ve played 'Paranoid,' 'Children of the Grave' and 'War Pigs' [with other guitarists]. They do the notes, but it’s not the same!”
Osbourne and Iommi last played together in 2022 at the Commonwealth Games in their hometown of Birmingham, England.
