Slash has revealed that Guns n' Roses are working toward a new record that would be their first since 2008's Chinese Democracy and the first to feature him and bassist Duff McKagan since their 1993 covers album The Spaghetti Incident?
It came in an interview with the Sunday edition of Britain's Daily Star in answer to a question about why he didn't ask either Axl Rose and Myles Kennedy, the singers of both his bands, to guest on the album.
After he explained that, "It was my own side thing, so I wasn't dragging my own guys in," he added, "Guns n' Roses are trying to make their own record and I'm working with them in that capacity, but this didn't involve anyone else." While Axl may currently be writing for a Guns album, Slash is promoting his mostly blues album, Orgy of the Damned, including sitting in with the Jimmy Kimmel Live band, Cleto and the Cletones, this Monday through Wednesday nights.
Slash's new album, 'Orgy of the Damned' was released Friday, and his tour stops at Texas Trust CU Theatre in Grand Prarie on August 17th.
