Rush's Alex Lifeson Hints at a "Mexican Tour of Cantinas"

While we wait to see what becomes of Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson playing together periodically at Geddy's house in Toronto, Lifeson has taken to social media to jokingly announce what's next for him.

He says, "Hola! Mis queridos amigos y queridas amigas.

"I’ve always loved a good, solid sombrero and it got me thinking of a new career move -- Lastre Mexicano! My plan is to book a 10-year tour of all the cantinas throughout the country with the help of a local cartel agency in Sinaloa. They seem nice!

"My special guest star is the incomparable Consuela la Zorra voted: 'La mamá mexicana más sexy que puede cantar un poco'! The agency says we will be a hit one way or the other, so we got that going for us!!"

In actual fact, Lifeson no longer wants to tour, or, at the very least, on the scale of what Rush did.

The last time he did was in 2015 with the band's final show on August 1st, 2015 in Los Angeles.

Check out Alex's rather hilarious post about it here on his official Instagram page.
