Jon Bon Jovi is reportedly unlikely to tour in support of his recent album, “Forever.” The singer got vocal cord surgery back in 2022…and the healing process has been slow. In a new interview with “The Guardian,” Bon Jovi admits he’s just not where he needs to be…yet. “It’s a work in progress. There’s no miracle. I just wish there was a [] light switch. I’m more than capable of singing again. The bar is now...can I do two and a half hours a night, four nights a week? The answer is no," he shares.
Jon, and the rest of Bon Jovi, perform Friday night in Nashville. Bon Jovi celebrated the release of their new album, Forever, by playing a five-song set that night at the grand opening of Jon Bon Jovi’s JBJ’s rooftop bar and restaurant in Nashville.
While he won't be touring in support of the album because of vocal surgery in 2022, he did enjoy being back on stage, saying, "It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been up on a stage with some people in the house. “Too long, too long. Yeah, it feels good. I hope it sounds good, because it feels good.”
Their set Friday was, in order, "Blood on Blood," "We Weren't Born to Follow," "You Give Love a Bad Name,” "Born to Be My Baby," and “Legendary."
And among those in the audience were Motley Crue singer Vince Neil, Jelly Roll and Big Kenny from Big and Rich.
On Saturday, Bon Jovi were at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland for a Q&A ahead of the opening Sunday of their exhibit there, Bon Jovi Forever.
They were inducted into the Hall in 2018.
