On This Day In 1983 Stevie Ray Vaughan Unleashed 'Texas Flood'

Released on this day in 1983, Texas Flood is the first studio album by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. The album was completed in only three days at Jackson Browne's personal recording studio in Los Angeles. Since the first day of production largely involved setting up equipment, Texas Flood was recorded in only two days, with no overdubs. Vaughan wrote six of the ten tracks on Texas Flood. Two singles were released from the album. A music video was made for "Love Struck Baby" and received regular rotation on MTV in 1983.  Happy 41st Anniversary!
