Styx's Tommy Shaw on How He got Foreigner to Tour With Them

Styx and Foreigner kicked off their first tour together in 10 years Tuesday when their Renegades & Juke Box Heroes tour got under way in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

It was a night of hits with all the usual suspects getting their due.

For Styx it's "The Grand Illusion,” "Too Much Time on My Hands,” "Blue Collar Man," “Lady,” “Rockin’ the Paradise,” “Blue Collar Man,” “The Best of Times,” “Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man),” “Come Sail Away,” “Mr. Roboto,” and “Renegade,” along with a few deep cuts like "Lorelei” and "Miss America," plus a recent song, 2021's “Crash of the Crown.”

And for Foreigner, each song was a hit that gets play on radio every day.

John Waite opened with an eight-song set that included "Missing You,” “Every Time I Think of You,” “Back on My Feet Again” and a cover of Led Zeppelin's “Whole Lotta Love."

The tour makes a stop in Dallas at Dos Equis Pavillion on Friday, June 21st for the Bo and Them Bash.
