The iPhone Turns 17. Has It Improved Or Lowered Our Quality Of Life?

I can't imagine life without my iPhone, and I know I'm not alone. In just 17 years the iPhone has revolutionized and simplified our lives. It's also taken over our brains, our attention span, and the way we interact with the world around us. I no longer need to carry a calendar, a music player, a watch, an address book, business cards. tickets, boarding passes, keys, and cash. Sadly, I no longer need to make eye contact or suffer from boredom. Everything I need is just a swipe and click away in my pocket.

We've gained so much from the iPhone in the past 17 years, but what have we lost in the process? Our kids - those who've grown up with smartphones - could be the most affected.

Today I will celebrate the 17th Birthday of the iPhone by putting it DOWN for an hour.

What do you think?
