On July 5, 1969, The Rolling Stones headlined a free music festival in London's Hyde Park, drawing a crowd between 250,000 and 500,000 fans. The blowout was the Stones' first public concert in more than two years, meant as the grand debut of the band's new guitarist, Mick Taylor. Sadly, it was also turned into a memorial service for late co-founding member Brian Jones, who died in his swimming pool two days prior, on July 3, 1969.
