Nick Mason: Future of Pink Floyd in AI?

With little to no chance of Roger WatersNick Mason and David Gilmour ever coming together again as Pink Floyd, Mason would like to see the band continue using Artificial Intelligence.

He tells The Mirror, “It would be fascinating to see what AI could do with new music. [What would happen] if you tried to run it as a sort of ‘Where did Pink Floyd go after?’ The thing to do would be to have an AI situation where David and Roger become friends again...

“We could be like ABBA by the time we’ve finished with it,” referring to Voyage, the Swedish band's avatar show in London.

Mason, like Waters and Gilmour, continues to perform. But his band, Saucerful of Secrets, performs Floyd material recorded before 1973's The Dark Side of the Moon.

The last time Pink Floyd performed together was in 2005 at the Live 8 benefit in London's Hyde Park.
