John Lennon: 'Mind Games, The Meditation Mixes' Out October 11th

A collection of relaxing mixes of John Lennon's "Mind Games" will be released as an album on October 11th.

Mind Games - The Meditation Mixes feature nine versions of the track produced by Sean Lennon. These mixes were originally done for the relaxation and consciousness-expanding phone app Lumenate earlier this year. Mind Games – The Meditation Mixes will be released digitally and on vinyl as a limited-edition three-LP set. This comes after a massive box set version of the 1973 album was released last month.

Sean Lennon says, "You might say meditation is the ultimate mind game. These very abstract interpretations will hopefully assist you in exploring your ‘Innerverse.’"

Three new Beatles-related documentaries will have their world premieres in September and October.

Daytime Revolution and One to One: John and Yoko both center around the post-Beatles exploits of John Lennon and Yoko OnoTWST – Things We Said Today is described as “a time capsule of New York City between August 13th and 15th 1965, framed by The Beatles’ arrival in the city and their first concert at Shea Stadium."

Daytime Revolution looks at the week in 1972 that John and Yoko guest-hosted the daytime TV chat program The Mike Douglas Show.. Among their guests were such unusual-for-TV figures as radical activist Jerry Rubin, Black Panther Bobby Seale, consumer activist Ralph Nader and recently-turned-edgy comedian George Carlin, while the music included a Lennon duet with Chuck Berry and an early performance of "Imagine." It premieres at the Hamptons International Film Festival in early October before opening on 50 screens across America on October 9th.

Also from 1972, One to One: John and Yoko chronicles the behind-the-scenes runup to the duo's One to One Charity Concert for Special Needs Children at New York's Madison Square Garden, Lennon’s only full-length concert between The Beatles and his death in 1980. Its first two public screenings, at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado and the Venice Film Festival in Italy, will both take place in early September.

TWST – Things We Said Today will also premiere at the Venice Film Festival. (Deadline)
