David Lee Roth a No-Show at Hagar's 'Best of All Worlds' Tour

The North American leg of Sammy Hagar's The Best of All Worlds tour has just three indoor dates, and the second was Monday at The Forum in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California.

Last November when he announced the tour, which has a heavy focus on his time in Van Halen, he said whatever musician is in town on a show day is welcome to come up and join him for a song or two, including David Lee Roth and Alex Van Halen.

Roth -- who Hagar toured with in 2002, but never shared the stage with -- heard about this and told the Van Halen News Desk that he's "ready to go. Let's do this."

Sammy was made aware of what Roth said and then reached out to us to clarify what he meant.

Of course it didn't matter -- not surprisingly, Roth nor Alex showed up.

Hagar shared a video of himself and the band jamming backstage before the show, as well as a video of them on stage, which he captioned with, "L.A. you rocked last night at The Forum [which I] haven't played in years. I forgot what a great venue it is. Thank you for singing your hearts out with me."

The tour stops at Dos Equis Pavillion in Dallas tomorrow night.
