Brian May is recovering from “a minor stroke”. The Queen guitarist shared a health update at Instagram now that he’s regained control of his left arm.
Thankfully, Brian May is able to play guitar. Though doctors have restricted the 77-year-old’s activity (quote) “I’m okay but I’m grounded. I’m not allowed to got out. I’m not allowed to drive. Not allowed to get on a plane. Not allowed to raise the heart rate too high.”
The incident occurred about one-week ago. He hinted at being rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Brian May thanked his caregivers. Then added (quote) “I don’t want sympathy. Please don’t do that that. It’ll clutter my inbox. I hate that.” (New York Post)

It's not been a great summer for Elton John, who says an eye infection has left him with "limited vision" in that eye.
On social media, he says, "I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye.
"I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks.
“I have been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home and am feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing recovery so far. With love and gratitude, Elton John.”
We reached out to his spokeswoman who tells us this setback will not prevent him from traveling to Toronto for this Friday's premiere at the Toronto Film Festival of his new documentary, Never Too Late.
The film looks back on his career through the final U.S. shows of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour — November 17th, 19th and 20th, 2022 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
After its premiere in Toronto, it will be screened at the New York Film Festival on September 17th followed by the BFI London Film Festival on October 10th. Then it's on to theaters on November 15th before landing on Disney+ on December 13th.
