MUSIC NEWS from Def Leppard, Whitesnake, and Jimi Hendrix

LOTS OF MUSIC NEWS.....

Def Leppard have posted episode four in their Behind the Summer Stadium Tour series, covering shows in Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Toronto.

David Coverdale of Whitesnake has shared a video for the 2024 remixed version of "Wherever You May Go" from Into the Light: The Solo Albums, which is due out October 25th.

There's yet another Jimi Hendrix documentary in the works.

Jimi, which is authorized by the Hendrix estate, will cover the launch of his career and be directed by Bao Nguyen, who helmed the Emmy-nominated Netflix doc The Greatest Night in Pop about the recording of "We Are the World."

Nguyen said in a statement, "Telling the story of Jimi Hendrix during his pivotal years in London is both a profound honor and a unique responsibility. London has always been a city that inspires me. Having lived there, I felt a deep connection to its creative energy, much like Jimi did when his creativity reached extraordinary heights."

If you're thinking, "wasn't there just a new Hendrix documentary?," you're not wrong. In the last 14 years there have been five major documentaries about Hendrix:

  • 2024 - Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision
  • 2020 - Music, Money, Madness... Jimi Hendrix in Maui
  • 2015 - Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church
  • 2013 - Jimi Hendrix: Hear My Train a Comin'
  • 2010 - Jimi Hendrix: Voodoo Child
