Queen has released a video for “The Night Comes Down” off their self-titled debut album, which has been remixed and is being re-released as a deluxe box set with the new title of Queen 1 on October 25th.
Featuring archival footage from the ’70s, they say, “Following a collaboration with an artist specializing in Artificial Intelligence, some of those images have been given a whole new dimension. Hopefully, the end result is a sense of what it was like being around the band as their extraordinary journey began.”
And Brian May adds, “The track is something I’m incredibly proud of; I wrote it 50 years ago and it’s taken all this time for it to become a single … so I’m excited. I hope you enjoy.”
The Rolling Stones and Billy Joel recently utilized AI for their videos -- the Stones for "Angry" and Joel for "Turn the Lights Back On."
While AI was Queen's friend for the new video, it wasn't for Brian May who had a video of him compromised where he says he's selling backstage passes to his shows for $800, down from $2000.
He posted the video and wrote, "HI FOLKS ---- THIS IS A VILE SCAM --- I was just alerted to this horrible criminal activity. I'll let you know how I get on stamping out this disgusting attempt to steal money from trusting fans."
Brian May or Queen + Adam Lambert are on tour.
