Music's Shortest-Lived Reunions

With Jane's Addiction reunion tour imploding onstage last week in Boston, Rolling Stone has compiled a list of "Music's Shortest-Lived Reunions."

In addition to Jane's Addiction, whose latest get-together lasted four months, the other 10 acts to make the list are:

Led Zeppelin - Broke-up after the death of drummer John Bonham on September 25th, 1980. Surviving members reformed for a handful of events over the years with the last being on December 10th, 2007 when they headlined a tribute to Atlantic Records co-founder Ahmet Ertegun at the O2 Arena in London. It lasted for two hours and four minutes -- the length of their set -- and Jimmy Page's hope for it to develop into more fizzled when Robert Plant made it clear he wasn't interested.

Journey and Steve Perry - Broke up in 1987, reunited in 1996 for the album Trial by Fire, but never toured as Perry came down with a degenerative bone condition that required hip surgery. He has not performed with them since.

Van Halen and Sammy Hagar -- b\Broke up in 1995 and reunited for a tour in 2004 that lasted for 80 shows over five months but ended due to Eddie Van Halen's drinking. Hagar never performed with them again.

Diana Ross and the Supremes -- Broke up in 1970. Attempted a reunion tour in 2000 that didn't include any of the original Supremes due to money. Hitting the stage with replacements, the tour fizzled after 13 dates.

Cream - Broke up in 1968. Reunited for their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, and then in 2005 for four shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London and three at Madison Square Garden in New York. Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker have since passed, leaving Eric Clapton as the lone survivor.

Outkast - Reunited for six months in 2014

Buffalo Springfield - Broke up in 1968 and reunited for Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit in 2010 and six shows in 2011.

The Beach Boys - What was left of the original band came back together for a 50th anniversary tour and new album in 2012. They did 50 shows over five months and haven't played together since.

The Velvet Underground - Came together for a two-month European tour in 1993 before Lou Reed and John Cale were at each other's throats. Reed passed away in 2013.

Jefferson Airplane - Core original members came back together for an album and tour in 1989 that lasted just over two months. They've not done anything since.
