Music News from Foghat, Don Henley and Steve Perry

LOTS OF MUSIC NEWS...

Foghat has released "On Tonsils & Sneakers,” a new song dedicated to the band’s late original lead singer and guitarist Lonesome Dave Peverett. The title references Peverett's long-running stage intro for himself: "On tonsils and sneakers, I'm Lonesome Dave." It’s being released as a seven-inch single on red translucent vinyl, backed by the previously released "Black Days & Blue Nights," a tribute to the band's other original guitarist Rod Price, who died in 2005.

Foghat will play the State Fair of Texas on Saturday, October 19th.

IN OTHER MUSIC NEWS.....

Don Henley is re-releasing not one, but two albums! Those albums, “I Can’t Stand Still” and “Cass County,” are due out on November 22nd. “I Can’t Stand Still” features remastered tracks from the original analog tapes. That album is Henley’s first solo album from 1982, and it included hit songs like “Dirty Laundry." Meanwhile...“Cass County" will be released as a deluxe 16-track version. The remastered version of “Dirty Laundry” from the "I Can’t Stand Still" re-release is available today. Check out the announcement on the right.

Check out his original post about it here from Don's official Instagram page.

AND FINALLY....

Former Journey frontman Steve Perry is going to release a new and improved version of his 2021 Christmas album “The Season.” The expanded version, “The Season 3,” will feature 16 tracks in all. The original version of “The Season” had just eight songs, and it added two more songs in a 2022 release. If we’re doing our math right…that means “The Season 3” includes six brand new songs this time! Those new songs include “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Let It Snow,” and a duet with his late father, Ray Perry, on “Call Me Irresponsible.” Perry co-produced the album, and it includes contributions from session drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and multi-instrumentalist Dallas Kruse. “The Season 3” comes out on November 8th. Check out the tracklist below.
