Apparently the idea of Queen recording new music is again a possibility.
Drummer Roger Taylor tells Uncut magazine, “Brian [May] and myself were talking the other day, and we both said that if we feel we have some good material, why not? We can still play. We can still sing. So I don’t see why not.”
In 2019 while on tour, May, Taylor and Adam Lambert went into a studio, but in 2021, Taylor told Mojo magazine that "Brian suddenly lost interest and I don’t really know why. We started it in Nashville when we were all quite tired. We couldn’t decide on a title, and the lyric felt a little too negative for Queen, maybe. But it was pretty damn good, and I hope it comes to light.”
And May told Classic Rock magazine, “It was a song that we'd tried to adapt that had come from a friend. It had the makings of being a great song, but we couldn't crack it. We couldn't get there.”
We also discussed the possibility of a new album with Taylor, Lambert and May in 2020.
Queen's last studio album was 2008's The Cosmos Rocks with Paul Rodgers on vocals. Their only album with Lambert was 2020's Live Around the World.
