Released On This Day In 1968 Jimi Hendrix 'Electric Ladyland'

Debuting on the Billboard Chart on this day in 1968, Electric Ladyland is the third and final studio album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. It went to number one in the United States, where it spent two weeks at the top spot. It was the Experience's most commercially successful release and their only number one album. Back in 2018, Electric Ladyland received a 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, available as a 3CD+blu-ray set or a 6 LP+blu-ray edition. Via the blu-ray, both include a new 5.1 surround sound mix by Eddie Kramer, 24 bit/96 kz high-resolution stereo audio. The Blu-ray also includes the full-length documentary At Last… The Beginning: The Making of Electric Ladyland. You can watch a clip of Kramer breaking down the deluxe edition above, and scroll down to see videos for "All Along The Watchtower," "Voodoo Child," and "Crosstown Traffic."
