Timothée Chalamet is set to play Bob Dylan in the biopic “A Complete Unknown.” A new released teaser features Chalamet performing Dylan's “Subterranean Homesick Blues” and recreating the iconic cue card scene. Some fans are saying that he’s absolutely nailed the performance! Chalamet has emphasized the importance of singing and playing live on set, sharing, “It was important for me to sing and play it on set because it was in the spirit of the movie to do it live.” The film will focus on Dylan’s rise and the controversy around his switch to electric guitar. The cast includes Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, and Nick Offerman as Alan Lomax. “A Complete Unknown” hits theaters on December 25th. Check out the teaser on the right.

A behind-the-scenes video of the making of the forthcoming Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown has been posted on YouTube. It includes scenes of Timothée Chalamet as Dylan singing “The Times They Are A-Changin'” and “Like a Rolling Stone.”
Chalamet says, “It was important for me to play and sing on set because it was in the spirit of the movie to do it live.” A Complete Unknown focuses on Dylan coming to New York from Minnesota through his electric performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965. It opens on Christmas.
Yesterday, October 24th, marked the 61st anniversary of Dylan recording “The Times They Are A-Changin'” for his 1964 album of the same name -- his third.
'A Complete Unknown' will be out Christmas Day, 2024.
