Today marks the 45th anniversary of that tragic night in Cincinnati when 11 kids died in a stampede at Riverfront Coliseum prior to a concert by The Who. The band was sound-checking and the general admission crowd thought they were starting the show and proceeded to crush through two turnstiles. The event subsequently changed how concert promoters sell tickets and ingress/egress at venues. In a new documentary, Pete Townshend says he's still traumatized by that night.
