The Scorpions' are celebrating their 60th Anniversary in 2025 with a Las Vegas Residency starting February 27th at Planet Hollywood, and then on July 5, 2025 they'll play a huge show in their hometown of Hanover, Germany.
Hopefully, their drummer Mikkey Dee, will have fully recuperated from his recent health scare.
Mikkey Dee, previously in Motorhead, was hospitalized with sepsis, a condition that occurs when the body's response to an infection injures its own organs and tissues.
On his Facebook page, Dee writes, "I was admitted for three weeks but now I am home fighting this bastard bacteria. Thankfully, I have received fantastic care at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg [Sweden], my hometown. So thanks a million to all the doctors and nurses that have been giving me the most excellent care. After several operations, I am now back home and the numbers are all going in the right direction. Still lots of recovery and rehab in front of me."
He adds, "Now I’m working a 100% to be back on the drum stool for the residency that starts off in Las Vegas on February 27th. We have a tremendous 2025 to look forward to, celebrating 60 years of Scorpions and many exciting gigs around the world."
Dee, who joined the band in 2016, is 61.
It was just a year ago on January 9th that the Scorpions' lost their longest serving drummer, James Kottak.
