Not All of The Beatles will Get a Grammy if "Now and Then" Wins in February

The Beatles’ newly released song “Now and Then” received GRAMMY nominations…but only recognized Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. It turns out that John Lennon and George Harrison do not meet eligibility criteria due to their deaths. This isn’t the first time the GRAMMYs have ruled this way, with them stating that people who have been dead for over five years cannot meet the Grammy test for “new recordings.” Other artists who have dealt with this ruling include the late Nat "King" Cole, who’s duet with his daughter daughter Natalie Cole, “Unforgettable,” won Record of the Year…while only Natalie was recognized. The GRAMMYs will air on February 2nd.
