KISS Settles Wrongful Termination Lawsuit

David Matthews, a longtime member of the KISS road crew, sued the band in 2023 for allegedly disregarding pandemic guidelines and firing him after he raised concerns about how things were being handled. The lawsuit claimed Matthews was forced to work closely with Gene Simmons while the rocker was ill, and that manager Doc McGhee dismissed him when the crew's complaints became public. After over a year of legal proceedings, the case has been settled out of court, with a final confirmation hearing set for March. The parties were originally set to go to court on January 22nd.
